World War One was started in 1914.The event triggering it was the murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. By a member of the "black hand gang". They were of Serbian Nationalists determend to help the Serbians of Bosnia break free from Austria-Hungary control.
So when Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia France and England came to help, Germany and Italy came to help Austria-Hungary so basikly every one was in a World War.
The Causes of the war was Nationalism, Militarism, Assassination of Franz Ferdinand.
Each nation's nationalism was cause by a buildup in military forces in the years prior to the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. The nationalist feelings also led to many men volunteering to join their nation's army.
Militarism is using military power to solve diplomatic crises, it influenced the arms rac. It was a direct cause of WW1 because the Germans based their diplomacy around their military. The arms race caused the war, both sides felt provoked after the assasination of the Ferdinand. Both sides felt threatened, they did not trust each other, and that caused the war.

Karl Marx lived during Industrial Revolution and he did not like what he sow. That's way Karl Marx ideas was known as Communism. He wanted that workers would share the wealth in a communiism society.Under Communism the government would own all property and everyone would be paid the same.
According to Marx, this would end the evils of Industrialization and Capitalism.
Russia eventually tried a system of Communism, but this system failed after about 70 years.

Karl Marx and The Industrial Revolution
Industrial Revolution evented Many new machines that could make products much faster, and new sources of power helped to run these machines. People began to move from farms to cities in order to work at these new factory jobs. But the Industrial Revolution also allowed people to acquire more products as goods became cheaper and more plentiful. Karl Marx lived early during Industrial Revolution and he did not like the Industrial Revolution. Karl Marxs felt that Industrial Revolution allowed the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. He viewed the Industrial Revolution as an extension of feudalism, where factory workers were like peasants and factory owners like nobles. Marx wanted the workers to share everything. That's way Marx ideas worked for Communism.
