Nationalism and the creation of Italy


Nationalism is the belief that one's greatest loyalty should not be to a king or an empire but a nation of people that shares a common culture and history.I am a naitionalisitic becouse i live in a country which is not ruled by another empire or another country. We all live whitin the same well defined borders.We have a history that defines our country.We have symbles that defines our nation.
Let me give you an example. The Austro- Hungarian Empair was a huge Empair in Europe. It was made up bunch of differrent people each with there on culture. Italy used to be part of Austro-Hungarian Emapir. But when other countries started to declare independence Italy was very influenced by them.When Italy wanted there independence they had a war of independence.They named there nation and break away from the Austro-Hungarian empire. Then they made a flag for their nation was not part of any other nation or empire. So this is how Italy used nationalism to gain independence.

Simon Bolivar

Latin American's heard about the American and French revolution. They sow how successful it was Simon Bolivar on his way home he decide to have a revolution for indipendense of the Spanish colonies.
Simon Bolivar was born in Caracas on July 24 of 1783. Simon Bolivar was a South American political, and military leader. He indipendence from Spain. Bolivar's life was dedited to the played a key role in Latin Amerrica's succesfull struggle for independense of the Spanish colonies, Colombia,Venezuela,Peru,Ecuador, and Bolivia. Bolivar Peninsula was named 1820, and it is named in honer of Simon Bolivar, liberator of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuadoe, Peru,and finelly Bolivia.

John Locke and "The Enlightenment"


The rights Thomas Jefferson is talking about is that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.


The goverent really doesnt have power. They gets from us the people that vote in representatives we can take them out and we can put them in thuse for giving us the ultimant power.
